چکیده

In this study, a series of N-naphthalimide ester derivatives (noted NPIE1-NPIE9) with different substituents were designed as visible light photoinitiators (PIs). These structures exhibited good absorption properties in the range. Photoinitiation abilities NPIEs evaluated upon exposure to light-emitting diode at 405 nm. All demonstrated performances free radical polymerization acrylate monomers. Markedly, function conversion for monomers presence NPIE1 was higher than that benchmark PI diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide (TPO). Upon 455 nm, could also initiate effectively, i.e., photoinitiator (TPO) not efficient these long irradiation wavelengths. Through calculations N–O bond dissociation energy and excited state energy, cleavage from singlet proved be favorable. Interestingly, CO2 detected during experiments, which indicated there decarboxylation reaction irradiation. Based on obtained results, mechanism Type Ⅰ behavior can proposed. Due performance, successfully used 3D printing experiments. addition, high thermal stability found. This great improvement elaborating stable formulations.

Metal and metal-free photocatalysts: mechanistic approach and application as photoinitiators of photopolymerization

In the present paper, the photoredox catalysis is presented as a unique approach in the field of photoinitiators of polymerization. The principal photocatalysts already reported as well as the typical oxidation and reduction agents used in both reductive or oxidative cycles are gathered. The chemical mechanisms associated with various systems are also given. As compared to classical iridium-bas...

1,8-Naphthalimide derivatives: new leads against dynamin I GTPase activity.

Fragment-based in silico screening against dynamin I (dynI) GTPase activity identified the 1,8-naphthalimide framework as a potential scaffold for the design of new inhibitors targeting the GTP binding pocket of dynI. Structure-based design, synthesis and subsequent optimization resulted in the development of a library of 1,8-naphthalimide derivatives, called the Naphthaladyn™ series, with comp...

Fluorescent Brighteners as Visible LED-Light Sensitive Photoinitiators for Free Radical Photopolymerizations.

The photochemical and electrochemical investigations of commercially available, safe, and cheap fluorescent brighteners, namely, triazinylstilbene (commercial name: fluorescent brightener 28) and 2,5-bis(5-tert-butyl-benzoxazol-2-yl)thiophene, as well as their original use as photoinitiators of polymerization upon light emitting diode (LED) irradiation are reported. Remarkably, their excellent ...

Novel Carbazole Skeleton-Based Photoinitiators for LED Polymerization and LED Projector 3D Printing.

Radical chemistry is a very convenient way to produce polymer materials. Here, an application of a particular photoinduced radical chemistry is illustrated. Seven new carbazole derivatives Cd1-Cd7 are incorporated and proposed as high performance near-UV photoinitiators for both the free radical polymerization (FRP) of (meth)acrylates and the cationic polymerization (CP) of epoxides utilizing L...
